Michael Arsenault joined the department of philosophy at Eberhard Karls University, Tübingen, as a postdoctoral researcher in 2023. Prior to that he did his Ph.D in Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley. Since September 2025 Mike Arsenault is Assistent Professor at the University of Toronto.
His work as part of TIDA focused on the role that Aristotle’s qualitative physics plays in the De anima and Parva Naturalia. He is especially interested in Aristotle’s engagement with his predecessors’ conceptions of qualities and qualitative alteration, as well as with the role that his own conceptions of qualities and qualitative alteration plays in his account of perception.
