Nicolás Bamballi joined the department of philosophy at Eberhard Karls University, Tübingen, in 2023 as a postdoctoral researcher. Prior to that he worked at the Université catholique de Louvain (2022) and at the Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften (2016–2021).

Within TIDA he works on the subproject concerning the textual transmission of Aristotle’s De anima. He is studying the Arabic (incl. the Arabo-Latin and Arabo-Hebrew) transmission in order to recover the Greek readings underlying the Arabic translations and thereby assist in the constitution of the Greek text. He is working on a full Graeco-Arabic critical apparatus for the new edition of the De anima.
