Peter Isépy's research concerns the history of the transmission of Greek texts, with a particular focus on those of Aristotle. While his work places significant emphasis on palaeography, codicology and stemmatics, his primary interest is in establishing "a text as close as possible to the original" (P. Maas), that is to say, in the accurate edition of the texts in question. He is currently preparing a new edition of Aristotle's On the Parts of Animals.
